Tensions remain high, despite an agreement for humanitarian corridors, and Zelensky has called for more negotiations.

Sit down with me at the negotiations table, I’m free,” Zelensky said at a press conference with international media present.

“Just not 30 metres away like with [French president, Emmanuel] Marcron or [German chancellor, Olaf] Scholz.

“I’m a neighbour, I don’t bite, I’m a normal man.

“What are you afraid of? I’m not a terrorist.”

Zelensky was addressing the press in a search for international support.

“The whole world started making decisions too late,” he said in a recent television address.

“I want to thank the countries that are helping with weapons.
