The show host commended Burna Boy’s past resilience and his recent successes in the music industry in a Twitter post on Wednesday.

Nwachukwu described Burna Boy as a personification of “resilience” who would rather be different than fall in line.

“If you don’t want to be a zombie and fall in line, you have to have a Burna Boy kinda spirit to survive any and every industry in this country!” the media personality wrote.

“They really tried to Bury and discredit that man. But look at him today! Resilience personified.”

Burna Boy rose to stardom in 2012 after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’.

In 2017, he signed with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group internationally.

His third studio album ‘Outside’ marked his major-label debut.

His fourth studio album ‘African Giant’ was released in July 2019.

It won Album of the Year at the 2019 All Africa Music Awards and was nominated for a Best World Music Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards.

He was awarded the African Artist of the year at the 2020 VGMA.

In 2020, his album ‘Twice as Tall’ was nominated for the same category at the Grammy Awards, making him the first Nigerian with back-to-back nominations at the Grammys.

In 2021, ‘Twice as Tall’ won the Best World Music Album at the Grammy Awards.

On April 28, 2022, he became the first African artist to headline and sell out a concert at Madison Square Garden in the United States.
