Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro says the video of a young girl being stoned to death, currently circulating the web is NOT related to the recent Chibok abduction crisis. The video shows horrific graphic content of a group of men, burying a young girl in the ground up to neck level and then proceeding to stone her to death. It has soon gone viral with Nigerian bloggers suggesting that the video was recorded after the April 14 Chibok abduction and the crime was committed by members of the Boko Haram sect.

The video flying around of one of our missing girls allegedly being stoned is as old as 2013 and perhaps, older. Verify before you tweet.
Other reports say the video was posted by another terrorist group Al-shabab and not Boko Haram. The website where the video was uploaded shows the upload date as March 23, 2013. It was uploaded by one ‘shaper85′. Watch the video below [Viewer discretion advised].
