While things are smooth between David and Victoria Beckham, Victoria seems to have having problems with their son Brooklyn.
The businesswoman and former Spice Girl is apparently unhappy with the professional direction Brooklyn seems to be taking, with Victoria being left “frustrated and upset”.
According to Heat World magazine, a source close to the family has leaked information regarding the situation between the mother and son.
Apparently, the issue is linked to Brooklyn‘s publicised dismissal from the Superdry brand, where he served as a model for only eight months in a deal worth one million dollars.
A source at Heat World claims that Brooklyn missed several shoots, stating that they “didn’t fit into his schedule”.
According to the British magazine’s source, Brooklyn feels his mother “pushed” him into taking the job.
“Victoria is really upset and frustrated with Brooklyn,” the source said.
“She pulled a lot of strings to get this Superdry contract. It was supposed to help build his profile and give him some credibility, so he could start to build a future for himself.”
Nelson Peltz, behind Brooklyn’s moves
Victoria is said to be unhappy with the way this projects “the Beckham brand” and, according to the source, the couple consider it “a huge disappointment” to see their son “wasting these opportunities”.
Additionally the couple feel undervalued given that Brooklyn is allegedly more likely to listen to the advice of his father-in-law, Nelson Peltz, who is making Victoria and David feel undervalued.
“He and Nicola think they know best and have ambitions to collaborate with high-end brands like Gucci,” the source continued.
“Of course, Victoria now feels guilty about trying to help in the first place and is trying to take a step back, but it’s a really hard thing for her and David to see.”
