Controversial social critic Verydarkman (VDM) has tearfully and sarcastically apologized to gospel singer Mercy Chinwo after she filed a N1.1 billion lawsuit against him.

The lawsuit, dated March 3, stems from VDM’s Instagram claims that Chinwo withheld performance earnings instead of remitting them to her former record label, EeZee Tee.
In response, VDM took to Instagram, dramatically listing individuals who have sued him and lamenting his inability to meet their financial demands. In a theatrical plea, he humorously sang Chinwo’s songs and begged her to reduce the lawsuit to N5 million, which he claims he can afford.
“Mercy, don’t let the devil use you. I don’t have N1bn to pay. Abeg, reduce it to N5m,” he pleaded.
