The US government is prepared to pay up to 10 million dollars in rewards for information that could lead to the capture of six Russian agents who stand accused of a range of cyberattacks.

The attacks in question took place in 2017, devastating companies all over the globe. The Ukrainian electricity network was also targeted.

The six military agents were attached to Unit 74455 of the Russian Secret Service and were accused in the United States in October by a federal grand jury.

The US State Department announced that it was willing to offer large sums for assistance in capturing the six accused agents, however they do suspect that they are on Russian soil, making extradition next to impossible.

The attacks carried out were responsible for the loss of around a billion dollars according to estimates by the authorities.

The Kremlin, meanwhile, has rejected all accusations against its military personnel and alleges that they are part of a campaign of Russophobia.
