Courtney ‘Taylor’ Clenney, the Instagram model, has been arrested by the United States police for allegedly killing her boyfriend.
The victim, who died from a stab wound on April 3, was identified as Christian Tobechukwu Obumseli, a Nigerian.
According to TMZ, Clenney was arrested on Wednesday and charged to court.
A release by the Hawaii police department stated that a warrant was issued for the arrest of the 26-year-old OnlyFans model on allegations of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon.
Clenney is expected to make a first appearance in local district court on Thursday, after which she will eventually be extradited to Florida.
Frank Prieto, Courtney’s lawyer, was quoted as describing her arrest as “shocking”.
The lawyer argued that there is clear evidence of self-defense on the part of the alleged killer.
He claimed Obumseli attacked and choked Courtney, leaving her “no choice but to meet force with force.”
Prieto also said she has been cooperating with the police investigation and offered to turn herself in if criminal charges were filed.
Sources were quoted as saying that Clenney was seeking treatment in Hawaii for PTSD and other issues related to the case.
Her lawyer also claimed she is a victim of domestic violence and human trafficking.
