A good Samaritan who owns the Ford car, an eyewitness said was trying to stop the suicide attempt but it was too late.
Another eyewitness said the lady who jumped into the water didn’t come with any vehicle. At that time of the day, the tide would flow towards Lekki.
Meanwhile, ALEDEH can report that the Lagos State Response Unit didn’t find the car there about 5 minutes after the broadcast went viral on social media.

The video below, which was sent to ALEDEH by an eyewitness, on Sunday evening, shows sympathizers at the scene.
Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, both the Lagos State Police Command and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), were yet to make a statement regarding the incident.
