Tyson Fury’s comeback: Show me the money and I’ll be back

Tyson Fury has expressed his intention to come out of retirement in exchange for up a mammoth fee, which could be up to 200 million pounds, despite having pledged to hang up his gloves in April after beating Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium.

With his victory over Whyte, Fury managed to retain his World Boxing Council heavyweight crown.

Now, he has warned that his potential return will not come cheap.

“If you want me, it’s going to cost,” said Fury.

“I will be back in the ring 100 percent, just like in the movie when Jerry Maguire shouted, ‘Show me the money!’

“If anyone can show me the money then it’s Frank Warren. I call him the Magic Man and we are going to make some big, big things happen.”

Warren revealed that the two men had discussed Fury participating in an exhibition fight in the near future.

“We looked at a couple of scenarios and I’ve been working over the weekend, I spoke to Tyson over the weekend and we want to come up with something that Tyson wants to do,” said Warren.

“We spoke about maybe an exhibition bout, we don’t know. Something will come out and once Tyson is happy, I’ll be happy.

“There’s obviously a lot of things to talk about and it goes without saying that the public will want to see Tyson Fury back in the ring where he’s the king.

I get and understand where Tyson is and what he’s said. Who knows? sometimes people decide to retire and come back in a couple of years time.

“I like fellas to fight in their prime, and for me Tyson Fury is at his prime, I mean that performance last time out was something else.

“We’re going to have a good chat and I’m sure we’ll have some good news that we can announce fairly soon.”

Free fuel for life

Fury also discussed about the option of a potential showdown with Anthony Joshua that could take place in Saudi Arabia should the latter beat Oleksandr Usyk.

“If Frank does do a deal with the Saudis, then hopefully he can get me free fuel for life because I am spending a fortune on petrol and diesel,” Fury joked.
