Trippie Redd Responds to Baby Shower Rumors: “Y’all Blogs Be Childish”

In the latest swirl of celebrity rumor control, rapper Trippie Redd is setting the record straight and doing so with a fair amount of sarcasm.

The “Forever Ever” artist took to Instagram Stories on Sunday night, April 27, to address circulating gossip that he had missed the baby shower for his and fellow artist Coi Leray’s unborn child. Internet fingers had been pointing, and narratives were spinning—but according to Trippie, the alleged no-show never happened.

“Y’all blogs be childish. My baby ain’t have no baby shower, yet,” Trippie Redd wrote. He then added a jab aimed directly at gossip outlets: “You blogs [should] go run and tell everybody that; since I’m the worst dad and I don’t show up to baby showers.”

The confusion appeared to stem from a recent video clip showing Coi Leray at what many assumed was a baby shower. But as it turns out, it wasn’t. Leray herself stepped in to clear things up. When asked by a fan whether the recent gathering was indeed a shower, she simply responded, “Nope, went to the Pink Pier in NY for my [friend’s] birthday.”

Coi further clarified her plans earlier that same day on X (formerly Twitter), announcing:
“My baby shower [is] next week. I’m so excited.”

So, with that confirmation, it seems Trippie Redd was telling the truth. And while his tone may have been defensive, the facts appear to back him up.

Still, while he’s quick to defend his parenting potential, Trippie has remained notably quiet on more personal matters namely, the cheating accusations that Coi Leray has alluded to in recent months.

Back in February, amid social media speculation, Trippie tweeted cryptically:
“To every bch I ever did wrong, I’ll do it again.”**
It was a post that raised more eyebrows than it answered questions.

Just a month earlier, Coi Leray had posted a somber message: “Nothing worse than being cheated on,” followed by confessional lyrics in her What Happened To Forever? EP track, “Keep It”
“All the times I caught you cheatin’ / I should’ve killed you, but now you gon’ have to see this / Supposed to be my peace but broke me right into pieces.”

As fans wait for the official baby shower, what’s clear is that the personal lives of these two young stars remain as raw, real, and public as ever. But for now, Trippie Redd is asking everyone to relax at least about the baby shower.
