Toolz, the Nigerian on-air-personality (OAP), has slammed men who feel threatened by the success of their wives.
The media personality was reacting to a viral podcast wherein three men claimed women with high-paying jobs are usually less attractive.
The clip had elicited a wave of backlashes on social media with several women faulting the narrative.
Joining the fray, Toolz, whose real name is Tolu Oniru-Demuren, tackled men with such mindset.
“I personally think that men who are turned off by high earning/successful women give off little energy, but what do I know? What do you guys think?” she wrote.
In a follow-up post via her Instagram stories on Tuesday, Toolz also slammed those criticising her stance on the topical issue.
According to her, men who feel they would be disrespected by their successful wives are “primitive.
She also advised women to be goal-oriented, adding that the “right partner” should not be threatened by their achievements.
“My last post brought out many trolls from under the bridge. Seriously, if as a man, you don’t want the very best for your partner, which may include a greater success than yours. then I don’t know what to tell you,” she said.
“Likewise, ladies (if you want to) go ham with your careers and be proud of your successes. The right partner should celebrate you fully, and not feel like you being /successful is going to ‘bring disrespect’. That’s so primitive and ghetto.”
