TG Omori has responded to claims that his music industry network did not offer him financial aid during his health crisis.
Omori, who has been battling kidney disease, underwent a transplant on August 26 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos.
The music video director said he went into surgery three times for the transplant, yet it was not successful.
Portable, a singer, berated celebrities in the heat of public discourse around Omori’s health, claiming they did not fund the treatment.
He compared the purported lack of support to the donations made to Bobrisky, the crossdresser, who was jailed for currency abuse.
Portable further described the camaraderie in Nigeria’s music industry as fake.
TG Omori has a kidney problem and celebrities are not donating money or kidneys for him, he said.
But Victor Osimhen and others donated money for Bobrisky who has no value. The industry is full of fake love.
In response, TG Omori clarified that he had received support from industry colleagues even before his health issues became public.
All I needed was your prayers, moral support, and love. This I am grateful to have gotten in abundance,” the video director said.
