Shaquille O’Neal could have won three more rings with Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers if he was as dedicated to his body and health then as he is now. Father time, however, is undefeated and the legendary NBA center is learning that the hard way.
O’Neal, 51, underwent hip replacement surgery over the weekend, according to Andrew Marchand of The Post.

The “NBA on TNT” analyst shared a picture of himself in a hospital bed with a message for his co-hosts, Ernie Johnson and Candace Parker.
“I’m always watching @TurnerSportsEJ and @Candace_Parker miss y’all,” O’Neal tweeted.
Johnson, 66, reportedly mentioned O’Neal’s hip surgery during the station’s March Madness coverage, with Shaq was evidently following from the hospital.

Shaq wants to model underwear
Shaq has been lifting weights nonstop lately and looks better than ever. During a recent appearance on Logan Paul‘s “Impaulsive” podcast, the big man revealed why he’s slimming down.
“I was 401 pounds. Now I’m 365,” O’Neal said. “I’m trying to take it back to 345.
“I want to have muscles everywhere, and I want to do an underwear ad with my sons [for] Fruit of the Loom, baby.”
Prior to the surgery, O’Neal revealed his plans post-hip replacement, talking on “The Big Podcast with Shaq” about his diet and workout regime.

O’Neal’s meals plan includes a breakfast shake, a fruit plate, four chicken breasts with ketchup, a salad and another shake, all divided throughout the day.
“I’m going to do that for 90 days,” O’Neal said. “I’m about to be shredded.”
