Paris Saint-Germain’s Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico suffered an attempted robbery this past Saturday at his home, while his team was playing against Auxerre.
The footballer managed to strike the thief in the face as he was trying to flee his house, although the burglar eventually managed to get away.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the thief left behind a backpack that is being analysed by the police authorities in search of evidence or DNA traces.
The player lives near the Arc de Triomphe and was the victim of another robbery when he lived at another address in Paris. Burglaries at the footballers’ homes are still very common.
