Former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose said the greatest threat to Nigeria’s democracy are the security agencies under All Progressive Congress (APC) government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Fayose said this in reaction to security agencies involvement in the crisis rocking the Akwa-Ibom State House of Assembly.
It would be recall that the Speaker of Akwa-Ibom State House of Assembly, Onofiok Luke had on Monday declared vacant the seats of five lawmakers who defected from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The speaker action erupted crisis which later led to the complex been sealed off by the police.
Fayose wrote: It appears that Security Agencies under the APC govt of @MBuhari have become the greatest threat to democracy in this country. What is happening in Akwa-Ibom State House of Assembly is another sad reminder of this threat.
