Talk continues to surround Remy Ma’s scathing Nicki Minaj diss track “shETHER.” Now, the Young Money rapper’s ex, Safaree Samuels, reveals what he thought of the verbal onslaught.
“I ain’t gonna lie,” he told TMZ. “It’s just a very disrespectful record. It’s probably the most disrespectful record I’ve ever heard in my life.”
Asked if Nicki could respond with a track of her own, SB said he wasn’t sure. “I don’t know,” he said. “What can you even say? It’s not even really about the streets being behind her or not. It’s like, what can you even say to Remy? There’s really not much.”
Despite his commentary, Stuntman said he wasn’t trying to get too involved in the rivalry when he was asked if he’d consider giving Nicki some writing assistance. “I don’t get caught up in the whole female beef thing,” he said. “I’ma just try to mind my business as much as possible.”Samuels was certainly mentioned on “shETHER.” “To be queen of rap, you can’t have a ghostwriter,” rhymed Remy. “That’s why, this is my house, Flo Rida / Ni**as done seen Drake pennin’, Wayne pennin’ / And since your first boyfriend left, bitch ain’t winnin’ / You an internet troll, I’m sorry / You can’t get her online without Safaree.”
Last year, SB spoke with Rap-Up about his stance on Nicki following their contentious breakup. “I’m in such a good headspace so I’m not even focusing on that,” he explained. “Even when people bring it up to me and everything that has to do with her, it does not phase me.”
