Mrs Adaugo Ikwunado, the Pregnant wife of the late Chima Ikwunado, an auto-mechanic allegedly tortured to death by officers of E-crack Squad in Mile One Police Station, Port Harcourt in December 2019, has been delivered of a baby boy.
The cheery news was broken by Enefaa Georgewill, Spokesman of Rivers Civil Society Organisation on his Facebook page.
The Civil Societies Organization has been in forefront in pushing for justice for the Ikwunado’s family.
Enefaa Georgewill in a telephone interview with our Correspondent he revealed that the baby boy was put to bed in a hospital in Owerri, Capital in Imo State yesterday.
However, our Correspondent learnt that for close monitoring and other private considerations, the family opted to take her to Imo State despite the voluntary offer of free antenatal and postnatal medical care by Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry, OPM.

Since the news of the birth of baby broke, the call for justice for Ikwunado and Ikokwu Four, the fight which was lackadaisically handled by redeployed CP Mustapha Dandaura, the Human rights Activist assured that the fight for justice for the late Chima Ikwunado and the Ikokwu Four is still on the front burner.
He said that it is welcome news to the Human rights Activists as the new CP Joseph Gobum Mukan, has stressed that the protection of Human rights is one of his cardinal mandates as Commissioner of Police in the state the Ikwunado’s issue will be presented to him.
The story of Mr Chima, an auto mechanic by profession, allegedly tortured to death by Eagle Crack Squad while in custody began after he was arrested on December 29, 2019, alongside four of his apprentices during test running of two cars they were repairing.
