Rashford’s Man United Future Hinges on Talks With Amorim After Villa Loan

Marcus Rashford’s return to Manchester United could depend on key end-of-season talks with manager Ruben Amorim, following his loan spell at Aston Villa.

A potential meeting between Rashford and Amorim is expected to take place before United’s pre-season tour of the United States. The two had a fallout earlier in the year, leading to Rashford being separated from the first-team squad before securing a January loan move to Villa.

However, Rashford’s future isn’t entirely in United’s hands. Aston Villa have the option to buy him for £40 million ($52 million), but it remains unclear if they will make the move permanent. If Villa pass on the opportunity, Rashford will return to Old Trafford in June with his long-term future uncertain.

Amorim has avoided addressing the situation publicly. The United boss has focused only on players currently in his squad and has not commented on the chances of reconciling with the 27-year-old forward.

Rashford is set to travel with the Aston Villa squad to face Southampton today. After that, attention will turn to their Champions League quarter-final second leg against PSG, where they hope to overturn a two-goal deficit.

Meanwhile, Amorim’s Manchester United side prepare for a challenging away game at Newcastle, followed by a home clash against Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final second leg.
