Marcus Rashford earned high praise after coming off the bench to inspire Aston Villa’s 2-1 comeback victory against Chelsea on Saturday.
Villa boss Unai Emery hailed Rashford’s impact, as the forward provided two assists for Marco Asensio’s goals after Villa trailed 1-0 at halftime.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Emery said:
“We support him, help him, try to make him comfortable and build his confidence. He played a fantastic 45 minutes, and he’s going to be very important for us.”
Rashford, 27, joined Villa on loan from Manchester United in January after falling out with manager Ruben Amorim due to reported behavioral issues. With his fitness improving, he is expected to start against Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
