PSG could move for Danjuma if they manage to offload Neymar

After extending Kylian Mbappe’s contract, Paris Saint-Germain are keen to freshen up their squad, with the potential departure of Neymar key to their planning ahead of next season.

PSG are looking to cash in on the Brazilian forward, although it is complicated. His salary may be decreasing every season, but it is currently set at 30 million euros per year.

As such, the Ligue 1 club are aware that there are not many teams who can afford to meet Neymar’s salary demands.

However, if they do manage to offload the Brazil international, they could move for Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma, who is on PSG’s shortlist for Neymar’s potential replacements.

Danjuma had a tremendous season, especially in the Champions League, for Unai Emery’s side. He arrived at the club for just over 20m euros and, as MARCA has reported, his buyout clause is set at around 53m euros.

Meanwhile, Villarreal need to cash in on certain players after failing to clinch Champions League qualification for next season.

It’s precisely Danjuma, as well as Pau Torres, whose sales could bring in revenues for the Yellow Submarine.
