Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting director Luis Campos is reportedly working on a tell-all book that could lift the lid on Kylian Mbappe’s dramatic exit from the club and much more.
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Campos plans to “share everything” about his three year stint at the Parisian club, including the behind-the-scenes tensions and strategies that shaped the club’s recent transformation.
Campos, who shares a deep relationship with Mbappe from their time together at Monaco and PSG, could provide fresh details on the French star’s 2024 free transfer to Real Madrid. Notably, Mbappe once said that if not for Campos and manager Luis Enrique, he would have never played for PSG again following a 2023 fallout with club executives.
With PSG now entering a post-Mbappe era, Campos’ role in rebuilding the squad is being praised. Known for his shrewd eye in the transfer market, he previously masterminded Monaco’s Ligue 1 triumph in 2016-17 and helped Lille flip talents like Rafael Leao, Nicolas Pepe, and Gabriel Magalhaes for major profits.
Campos’ future at PSG is uncertain, though. His contract expires this summer, and while he was previously linked with Arsenal’s sporting director role now filled by Andrea Berta all eyes are now on his upcoming book, which could shake up the football world with insider revelations on transfers, boardroom politics, and the Mbappe saga.
Football fans and insiders alike will no doubt be eager to get their hands on what could become one of the most explosive football memoirs in recent years.
