The opening day fixtures for the 2023/24 Premier League season have been confirmed,
The new season will get underway in under two months, with the first fixture of the new campaign set for Friday, August 11 at 8pm.
That fixture will take place between newly-promoted Burnley and reigning treble winners Manchester City at Turf Moor – meaning an opening day clash against his former club for Clarets boss Vincent Kompany.
Liverpool, meanwhile, face the challenging task of being the first competitive opponents of new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino. As the Reds requested their opening fixture to be away from Anfield due to stadium redevelopments, that fixture will take place at Stamford Bridge.
