Police shot a man to death on Huntington Beach, California, where the 2021 US Open of Surfing was taking place.
Ronnie Andrew Garcia died within moments of the incident, after refusing to drop his pistol following several warnings from the police officers.

Police had been tipped that a suspicious looking man had been walking on the beach with a gun.
While wounded on the ground, 43-year-old Garcia tried to pick up his weapon again and, as a result, was shot and killed.
