The Imo State Police Command has arrested two suspected child traffickers and rescued two abducted children in separate operations, reaffirming its commitment to combating organized crime.
Key Arrests & Rescue Operations
- Eze Chika, 45, was caught on Owerri-Aba Express Road with a stolen 4-year-old child. Initially claiming the child was hers, she later confessed to buying the child for ₦1.8 million from a trafficking syndicate in Aba.
- In a failed attempt to evade justice, she offered the police ₦1 million bribe, which was outrightly rejected by the officers.
- Another suspect, Confidence Odo, 32, was arrested by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for allegedly abducting her ex-neighbor’s son. The child has been reunited with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Ududiri.
