Pogba has decided to join Real Madrid for free next summer

Paul Pogba is into the last 12 months of his contract at Manchester United, and reports in England indicate that he will leave Old Trafford next summer and make the move to Real Madrid.

The French midfielder has been heavily linked with Los Blancos for the last couple of summers, particularly when Zinedine Zidane was in charge, but it seems that his compatriot’s departure has not affected his desire to join the 13-time European champions.

According to the Daily Star, Pogba has made his mind up and will leave Manchester United on a free when his contract expires on June 30, with his desire being to join Real Madrid.

After financial restrictions imposed by LaLiga due to the pandemic having restricted Spanish clubs’ spending this summer, many are planning on a spending big in next year’s window.

It could be a particularly big summer at Real Madrid in 2022, as Pogba could arrive alongside both Erling Halaand and Kylian Mbappe at the Estadio Standiago Bernabeu.

Mbappe and Pogba will both be free agents next summer, which would pave the way for Real Madrid to sign Halaand, although there are other clubs in the running for the Norwegian’s signature, such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
