Paul Pogba Eyes European Return Despite MLS Interest

Former Manchester United and Juventus star Paul Pogba is reportedly prioritizing a return to European football, despite interest from MLS side D.C. United.

The 32-year-old free agent, who has not played competitively in over 20 months due to a doping ban, is focused on securing a move to a club competing in the UEFA Champions League. Pogba, who believes he can still play at the highest level, is hoping to regain a place in the France national team for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Although D.C. United has shown interest, Pogba is considering all offers, with his eyes set on Europe for the time being. Having been cleared to return to football after an 18-month suspension, the Frenchman is now a free agent following the termination of his contract with Juventus in November 2024.

Reports suggest that Fiorentina, Marseille, and several clubs in Spain approached Pogba in March, though he turned down offers from Brazil and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Pogba has been in discussions with David Beckham of Inter Miami, as he owns a property in Miami and has been living there since November.

The midfielder’s last competitive appearance was three years ago for Manchester United. As Pogba gears up to make a decision on his future, all eyes will be on where he lands next.
