Naira Marley, the Nigerian singer, says the recent “misunderstanding” involving Mohbad and Zinoleesky with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has been resolved.
Zinoleesky and Mohbad, who are both singers under Naira Marley’s Marlian Music, were arrested by the NDLEA during a raid last week.
Femi Babafemi, a spokesperson of the NDLEA, had told TheCable Lifestyle that the musicians were arrested alongside four others “after some quantities of Cannabis and Molly were recovered from their apartment and car.”
They were later released from the custody of the anti-drug agency.
In a Twitter post on Monday, Naira Marley said the “misunderstanding” with the NDLEA had been addressed.
The ‘Soapy’ crooner added that both Zinoleesky, Mohbad, and others involved are currently in “good spirits.”
“Thank you to everyone for your support of Marlian Music, following the misunderstanding last week with the NDLEA all has been solved. Zinoleesky, Mohbad and those others involved are in good spirits,” he wrote.
The update comes a few days after Mohbad alleged that Naira Marley and his record label were after his life.
“Don’t open the gate for anybody. Please, just help me. I don’t want to die. I don’t know why these people are behaving like this to me. Everybody in the world, if I die it’s Marlian Music [of] Naira Marley killed me,” he had said.
Zinoleesky also recounted the incident that led to the NDLEA’s raid and arrest in an Instagram post on Monday.
