Naomi Campbell has shocked fans by announcing that she has become a mother.
The baby is a girl, though no photo of her face has been shared yet, nor has the child’s name.
“A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother,” Campbell posted on Twitter, alongside a photo of her baby’s feet in the palm of her hand. “So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life.
“There are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.”
Fifty-year-old Campbell is not thought to be in a relationship. While she didn’t reveal the method in which she welcomed her daughter, she has previously praised science for giving her the chance to start a family whenever she wants, with some speculating that she was considering a surrogate.
Campbell‘s fans’ congratulatory messages came in abundance in response to her social media announcement.
“You will make an exceptional mother,” one wrote. “Congratulations to you both for choosing each other.”
