It is believed that the protests will continue through the week as supporters of Mohbad from Ibadan and some parts of Lagos also announced dates for their demonstrations.
Davido earlier said he would be returning to Nigeria from the United Kingdom to join a candlelight procession in Lekki to honour Mohbad on Thursday.
On Monday, the Lagos state police command inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team to probe the death of the singer.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos governor, also invited operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) to join in the ongoing investigation into the singer’s death.
