The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, who was rested alongside close friend Luis Suarez, watched the game from the stands at Chase Stadium. Despite their absence costing the Herons on the pitch, Messi stayed cheerful, soaking up the South Florida sun with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and their sons.
While his children indulged in a giant slice of pizza, Messi stayed true to tradition, sipping on his favorite mate drink. With his sons already playing in Inter Miami’s academy, the Argentine legend appeared relaxed ahead of his expected return to action in Wednesday’s CONCACAF Champions Cup second leg against Vancouver Whitecaps.
