Kylian Mbappe has set the record straight on rumors of tension between him and Vinicius Junior, asserting that his move to Real Madrid was motivated by his desire to play alongside the Brazilian winger.
In a recent interview with La Sexta, the France international explained that despite the star power in Madrid’s squad, including Jude Bellingham and Vinicius, their relationship is “very good.” Mbappe stated, “I came with the idea of playing with Vinicius. I can’t imagine a Real Madrid without Vini.”
While rumors have circulated about possible divides in the Real Madrid camp due to the presence of multiple high-profile players, Mbappe emphasized the strong connection he shares with Vinicius, saying they play well together and are aiming to push Los Blancos to more victories this season. “We’re good together, and it’s the most important part of the season,” he said, adding, “People expect more from us and that’s normal.”
A Dream Move to Real Madrid
Mbappe also reflected on his decision to join Madrid after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ended, describing the move as a dream come true. “There are things more important than money. I wanted to play for Real Madrid, here at the Bernabeu,” Mbappe said, emphasizing that his happiness and long-time goal to play for Real Madrid were his driving forces.
Having already secured the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup in his debut season, Mbappe has scored 33 goals in 47 appearances and is eyeing a Ballon d’Or in the near future.
