After Kobe Bryant’s death almost two years ago, his wife Vanessa has expanded his estate.
In addition to the investments the former Lakers player had made during his lifetime, Kobe’s wife has invested in new businesses.
The creation of her wine brand was the latest and will also pay tribute to the basketball legend.
TMZ assures that Vanessa has already started the procedures to register the brand “Mamba Vino.”
Through ‘Kobe Bryant, LLC (S.L.),’ which she heads, Vanessa will seek to launch a new venture in the wine industry with four distinct ranges in memory of Kobe: ‘Mamba Vino,’ ‘Mamba Vino 2024’, ‘Mamba Vino 8’, and ‘Mamba Vino 24’.
The numbers represent Kobe’s numbers wore with the Lakers and reflect his best-known nickname, ‘Mamba,’ and a lesser-known nickname, ‘Vino,’ because his game only improved over the years.
Vanessa Bryant trademarked ‘Mamba‘ and ‘Mambacita‘ (as her daughter Gigi was known) in March and released a line of sneakers and apparel in honor of both.
Last October, Kobe’s widow also began the process to launch a sports and entertainment empire in honor of her husband, ‘KB24’.
Kobe’s wife will join former athletes such as Drew Bledsoe, Yao Ming, Jeff Gordon, Wayne Gretzky, and Terrell Owens who occupy a space in the wine business.
