The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Detroit Pistons 117-91 on Sunday, but they were without Kevin Durant for the entire fourth quarter after the NBA superstar was ejected.
At the end of the third quarter, Durant collided with Kelly Olynyk at a screen and reacted by shoving his opponent several times.
With one of Durant’s shoves hitting Olynyk in the neck area, a flagrant two foul was called and he was ejected from the game.
Already, he had scored 23 points on the night and his team had a sizable advantage, as the Nets were up 85-68. They actually extended that lead during the final stages of the win.
This wasn’t the first incident involving the MVP this weekend. Durant came close to an ejection in the previous game as well, as he threw a ball into the stands against the Indiana Pacers on Friday.
