Controversial Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo has sparked a fresh wave of online reactions with a deeply emotional series of TikTok videos, in which she opened up about the traumatic experiences she and her siblings allegedly endured at the hands of their late father, former Oyo State Governor Victor Omololu Olunloyo.
In the videos, Kemi, known for her bold and often polarizing statements, revealed disturbing allegations of severe abuse by her father, claiming that he inflicted both physical and emotional trauma on his children. She questioned the public praises being lavished on the late politician following his passing and distanced herself from the Olunloyo family.
Among the most chilling allegations, Kemi recounted an incident where her father allegedly hung her younger brother, Gbenga, from the ceiling fan after he was accused of stealing at school. She described how the governor allegedly beat him severely and switched the fan on. Kemi also claimed her father burned Gbenga’s back with a hot iron over a minor accusation, leaving lasting scars.
Kemi further accused the late governor of subjecting two of her brothers to a ritualist, allegedly forcing them to drink human blood as part of a spiritual fortification. She claimed that one of her brothers, Oyeleke, died after a car accident shortly after returning from the ritual, and her mother believed he had been sacrificed.
The journalist also shared a deeply personal story about her first son, who, after being sent to Nigeria for a holiday, returned mute and was later diagnosed with autism. Kemi blamed her father and his wife, Ronke, accusing them of using juju (black magic) on her son.
“The scars are still there till today. He will tell that story to his children,” Kemi said, expressing years of accumulated pain and frustration.
Her shocking revelations have drawn mixed reactions online, with some expressing sympathy for Kemi’s apparent suffering, while others remain skeptical of the severity of her claims.
