Kanye West was so pumped and confident after performing for Prez Obama, he mustered up the courage to audition to become the very last American Idol.
Yeezy must have figured since he was in SFO anyway, why not go down the road where JLo, Harry Connick, Jr. and Keith Urban, who were holding auditions for their show.
Kanye performed as Kim Kardashian memorialized it all on camera.
The judges made it look like it was all one big surprise, and it might have been … but then again, it wouldn’t hurt ratings to watch Kim’s hubby on “A.I.”

Earlier in the day, Kanye performed a nearly hour-long set in front of President Obama at a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee at The Warfield. While there, he presented Obama with a couple pairs of Yeezy Boosts, and in return, Obama gave him some pointers for his 2020 White House run. “But in case Kanye’s serious about this whole POTUS thing, or as he calls it, Peezy, I do have advice for him,” said Obama. “First of all, you gotta spend a lot of time with some strange characters who behave like they’re on a reality TV show.” He added, “Do you really think that this country’s going to elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago with a funny name to be President of the United States? That’s cray!”
