Everything seems to indicate the future marriage between suspended Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka and his fiancée, famous actress Nia Long is not in danger despite the scandal that caused the sanction against the strategist who is the reigning Eastern Conference champion.
Nia Long’s decision on her relationship with Ime Udoka
According to statements that Long’s ex, Massai Z. Dorsey, shared with DailyMail after it was revealed that Oduka had been suspended for the entire season for having a romantic relationship with a female Celtics staff member, forbidden by internal rules, the couple has spoken and the actress has forgiven the former basketball player.
“We talk as a family, and it’s all about unconditional love, and that’s what she’s giving him,” Dorsey said. “We’re sticking by him 100 percent, Ime made a mistake. Every man needs another chance. Like the Bible says, the flesh is weak. He’s not a bad guy. Hopefully, he’s learned from this.”
Despite no longer being romantically involved, Dorsey and Long remain close and have a 21-year-old son they both take care of, however, the actor is not unhappy that Massai Dorsey II is close to Udoka.
What does Dorsey think of Udoka?
All I could say is good things about Ime, he’s a good man. All these years. I’m happy he’s in my son’s life,” Dorsey said. “It’s easy to get to the top, but to stay at the top it takes a different type of person. Right now in this season, you have to be very sensitive with women, unfortunately, because they hold the cards right now.”
While Long and Udoka have not been married, they have been engaged since 2015, and three years earlier they had a son named Kez, who is currently 10 years old.
