Iheanacho tops poll! CNN Goal of the Week

Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho continued his growing reputation as one of Europe’s finest talents, as he picked up the CNN Goal of the week Award for the first time.

The 19-year-old was on international duty last weekend with the Super Eagles against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania and he made the difference in the game as he powered in a sublime left foot shot from the edge of the box to hand Nigeria a 1-0 win.

Iheanacho was a distant first with 65% votes beating Jonathan Kodjia (17%) to second place. The Ivory Coast star netted a sweet bicycle-kick in the 1-1 draw against Sierra Leone.

Real Madrid B player, Sergio Diaz came in third with 11% after he scored his third goal of the season with a spectacular strike from the center-circle in the 3-2 win over Amorebieta at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium.
