According to NAN, Harun Ibn-Sina, Hisbah’s commander, said the 47 young men and 31 under-aged girls were apprehended for allegedly engaging in illicit acts following a tip-off.

The commander said his men found the youngsters in “compromising positions using drugs” at a party at White House restaurant in Nasarawa GRA axis of the state.

“The young men and women were found in compromising positions using drugs, while preparations (by them) were in top gear for the commencement of a birthday party,” a statement issued by the board on Wednesday quoted him as saying.

The Hisbah commander described youths as the leaders of tomorrow and urged their parents and guardians to be more vigilant due to the high level of moral decadence in society.

He also said that the board had commenced investigation into the incident and would invite parents, guardians of those arrested for necessary action.

Ibn-Sina added that Hisbah remains committed in its push to sanitise Kano and rid the state of all forms of vices.

The board has come under fire on numerous occasions over its conservative views and approach to issues.
