Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has applauded President Bola Tinubu for upholding the rule of law in the just-concluded local government elections in the state.
Speaking to journalists in his hometown, Ede, on Saturday, Adeleke firmly dismissed reports suggesting he made negative comments about the president.
“I did not at any point utter any negative remarks about Mr. President. All the news articles claiming otherwise are fake,”Adeleke stated.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to working harmoniously with the federal government, insisting that in both his public addresses, he never criticized Tinubu.
“I urge the public and stakeholders to ignore the fake news. I did not attack President Tinubu in any way before or during the ongoing local government election,” he emphasized.
Adeleke also praised the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) for ensuring a seamless election process.
Similarly, the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, commended voters for turning out en masse to exercise their rights.
“The election has been peaceful, and I know that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will emerge victorious,” Igbalaye said while speaking in Osogbo.
With the successful conduct of the election, Osun State moves forward with expectations of fair governance at the grassroots level.
