Fireboy DML, the Nigerian singer, has taken to social media to react to the playful threat by Olamide to leak his third album.
The online banter started on Wednesday after Olamide promised to leak the upcoming album should the 26-year-old fail to announce a date to release a new single of the body of work.
The YBNL boss joked that he has grown tired of being the sole listener of the album since last October and will gladly leak it to the rest of the world to savour should Fireboy proceed with his inertia.
“I’ve had Fireboy’s 3rd album with me since October 2021, and I’m tired of listening to it alone. If you have his number, kindly call him n let him know I’m gonna leak it if he no picks next single n let’s drop the album,” he tweeted, accompanied with a laughter emoji.
A few minutes later, Fireboy quoted the tweet and announced that he would be dropping a new single in March.
He added that the album will be released before summer.
“Next single next month! The third album before summer,” the ‘Jealous’ crooner tweeted.

This is not the first time the record label duo will be joking about leaking songs on social media.
In July 2021, Olamide leaked ‘Peru,’ a 3-minute long freestyle made by Fireboy while he was tipsy, to the public.
The track went over and beyond, with Ed Sheeran describing it as “earworm” before jumping on the remix that has gone on to do amazing streaming numbers.
