Despite scoring the first goal in Barcelona’s history in the Europa League, Ferran Torres couldn’t hold back his tears after the game against Napoli was over on Thursday night.
Torres converted from the penalty to equalise for Barcelona at the Camp Nou, but missed four clear chances to get his name on the scoresheet throughout the 90 minutes.
After the referee blew the final whistle, an emotional Torres put his hands on his face and had to be comforted by his teammates and opponents before heading to the dressing room.
Piotr Zielinski opened the scoring for Napoli just before the half an hour mark, but Torres netted an equaliser in the second half and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
