More and more celebrities are getting directly involved in politics. Veteran Nollywood actor Emeka Ike is the most recent.

Emeka has revealed that he’s running for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives.
The actor is running to represent the Okigwe South Federal Constituency, and is running under the Young Progressive Party (YPP), PM News reports.
He wrote on his Instagram: “YPP… the people friendly party… New blood… fresh breath… less clumsy…”
The 51-year-old is in full campaign mode, taking interviews and speaking to people in the constituency.
