Intruder arrested at Drake’s home

A day following the gunfire that left a security guard injured, Toronto police were summoned once more, this time to apprehend an intruder attempting to breach the premises.

According to Toronto law enforcement, the arrest took place around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8th, as officers responded to reports of an individual trying to gain unauthorized access to Drake’sBridle Path residence.

The intruder was subsequently apprehended under the Mental Health Act, as confirmed by a police spokesperson to Toronto’s CityNews.

While the identity of the suspect remains undisclosed, this recent development compounds the security concerns surrounding Drake’s estate.

The prior incident, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning, involved shooters firing at the property’s entrance from an unidentified vehicle.

The wounded security guard was swiftly transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries, the details of which are yet to be disclosed to the public.

Shooting investigation still ongoing
In the wake of the shooting, Toronto Police Duty Inspector Paul Krawczyk addressed the media, revealing that the assailants fled the scene in a vehicle whose description remains elusive.

Despite ongoing speculation, authorities have refrained from definitively linking the shooting to the escalating feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, a rivalry that has captured the attention of pop culture enthusiasts in recent weeks.

The contentious relationship between the two hip-hop heavyweights reached a boiling point with Lamar’s release of “Not Like Us,” featuring imagery of Drake’s residence sourced from Google Maps.

This latest artistic provocation follows a series of verbal jabs exchanged between the artists, culminating in Drake’s retaliatory track, “The Heart Pt. 6.”

Beyond the realm of music, the feud has spilled over into the digital domain, with Lamar’s fans making their presence felt by altering the names of various locations in Drake’s neighborhood on Google Maps.

These alterations, labeled with provocative messages aimed at Drake, underscore the intensity of the ongoing rivalry.

While the motive behind the drive-by shooting remains under investigation, authorities have yet to establish a definitive connection to the feud between Drake and Lamar.
