Cristiano Ronaldo promised he would speak out and he has. The Portuguese striker has given an interview with journalist Piers Morgan where he charges hard against what is happening to him at Manchester United. “I feel betrayed,” said Cristiano, who pointed directly to his coach, although he acknowledges that he is not the only one who wants him out of Manchester: “Not only the coach, there are two or three more who want me out of the club.
The relationship with Ten Hag is broken. “I have no respect for him because he doesn’t respect me. If you have no respect for me, I will never have respect for you.”

Message to his critics
In the interview, Cristiano also has a direct message for his critics. One of the tough ones is former Red Devils player Wayne Rooney. “I don’t know why he criticizes me so much. Probably because he finished his career and I’m still playing at a high level. I’m not going to say I look better than him, which is true…”
Furthermore, the Portuguese says that this situation is not a novelty of this season. “Maybe I shouldn’t say it, but people have to know the truth. I have felt betrayed. I have felt that some people don’t want me here. Not just this year, last year too.”
Ronaldo laments that the club is not living up to its history and that is why it is not competing with the best. “I have seen no evolution at the club since Sir (Ferguson) left, the progression has been zero.” The Portuguese striker charges harshly against decisions such as putting Ralf Rangnick in charge of the club. “If you’re not even a coach, how are you going to be the boss of Manchester United? I hadn’t even heard of him.”
Family problems
The loss of one of his sons during childbirth was a huge blow for Cristiano Ronaldo and there again he felt no support from the club. He says they lacked “empathy”, especially when his three-month-old daughter was hospitalized in July and could not join the preseason when scheduled because he wanted to be with her. The club doubted his word and that made him feel hurt.
"Since Sir Alex Ferguson left I saw no evolution in the club, the progress was zero."

Message to the fans
Cristiano has also been emphatic about the affection he feels for the Reds fans. “They are the most important thing in soccer, you play for them. They are always on my side. For me they are everything. That’s why I’m giving this interview because it’s the right time to say what I think.
