UFC star Conor McGregor is under arrest for dangerous driving on the streets of the capital. The 33-year-old MMA fighter was arrested yesterday afternoon in West Dublin while driving his Bentley Continental GT valued at around $200,000.
McGregor, who has multiple traffic violations, is believed to have been traveling on the N4 between Lucan and Palmerstown. The Irish Independent reported that his luxury car was also seized after his arrest.

Conor McGregor, the world’s highest earning athlete in 2021, was taken to the Lucan Garda station, where he is expected to be released on bail. If convicted, the charge of “dangerous driving” carries a maximum penalty of a fine of up to 5,000 or six months in prison, or both.
McGregor has been spending more time in Dublin lately and has been training for his return to the Octagon later this year.
Other legal issues regarding McGregor
In other related news regarding the MMA fighter and the Dublin police, the Irish police force have been ordered to hand over all relevant evidence to the woman who is McGregor for personal injuries. This incident allegedly happened back in December of 2018.
A previous police investigation decided there was no criminal case to be made. However, a new ruling made in a pre-trial motion, the Gardai will have to provide a wide array of evidence gathered in their investigation which may pertain to the file against McGregor, this includes CCTV footage, photos, mobile phone data, toxicology results and forensic reports.

The woman alleges that McGregor raped her in a Dublin hotel, something the fighter has continuously denied. McGregor has twice previously been investigated on suspicion of sexual assault, but charges have not been made in either case.
