Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has stunned football fans by suggesting that Paul Pogba, the ex-Manchester United and Juventus star, should consider a surprise comeback with Championship side Norwich City.
Pogba, who recently had his four-year doping ban reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, is now a free agent and searching for his next club. The 32-year-old hasn’t played competitively since September 2023, a long layoff that has significantly impacted both his form and market value.
In a recent chat with BestBettingSites.co.uk, Sutton admitted Pogba might struggle to hit his former heights but encouraged him to embrace a new challenge:
“I’d love to see Paul Pogba at Norwich City. He’d be a little fish in a big pond if he came to Norwich. He’s missed a large chunk of football, and at his age, it’s tough to bounce back.”
Sutton continued:
“He’s such a talented player, but he may need to drop down a little bit. He can still play at a high level with Norwich at Carrow Road.”
While fans remain divided on the idea, one thing is clear Pogba isn’t ready to hang up his boots just yet. As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes are on where the World Cup winner will land next. Could the Canaries become his unexpected next chapter?
