Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal all learned their Champions League fate on Monday as the draw for the last 16 was made.
Los Blancos will face Benfica, Atleti take on Bayern Munich, and Villarreal will meet Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Villarreal were initially drawn with Manchester United, but this cannot happen as they were in the same group. So, another group winner was picked and Manchester City’s name was drawn.
Perhaps the standout fixture from the draw sees Lionel Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain face Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United. There is also a match-up between Real Madrid’s two former centre-backs in Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane.
Another eye-catching clash sees four-time winners Ajax meet three-time champions Inter.
