Cardi B, the US rapper, and Offset, her husband, have unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking rumours they are no longer together.
In a series of posts shared via her Instagram story on Monday, the rapper said she is ready to put herself first.
Cardi B said she has “outgrown” certain relationships and would no longer protect other people’s feelings”.
You know when you just outgrow relationships,” she wrote.
I am tired of protecting people’s feelings… I gotta put myself first”.
Offset, on the other hand, also shared a cryptic message around the same time as his wife on his Instagram story.
The post was a clip from the movie ‘Scarface’, where Al Pacino’s character said: “Hey f**k you, man! Who put this thing together? Me! Who do I trust? Me!”
It remains to be seen if the post is connected to his marriage with Cardi B.
Cardi B and Offset tied the knot at a low-key event in 2017.
They welcomed their first child, Kulture, in 2018 and their second child, Wave, in 2021.
Their union came under threat in 2020 after Cardi B filed for divorce over allegations of infidelity against her husband. They eventually reconciled.
In June, Offset accused Cardi B of infidelity, claiming she had sex with another man.
Reacting to her husband’s allegations, Cardi B told Offset to stop “acting stupid”.
She said she could not be sexually involved with any average man in the music industry because they would reveal her secrets.
