The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has offered the South African Football Association (SAFA) hosting rights to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
SAFA president Danny Jordaan confirmed the news to Goal, and shared that their current financial situation may not be able to allow them to host the tournament.
The tournament had been scheduled to hold in Cameroon but hosting rights were taken away from the West African country after delays in the construction of stadiums.
CAF has asked that countries interested in hosting submit a bid before the end of December.
