Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has released a new single titled Update, a track from his upcoming eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness.
Released on February 19, 2025, Update samples Soul II Soul’s iconic 1989 classic Back to Life. The track, produced by P2J, blends African folk drum arrangements with Burna Boy’s signature braggadocious lyrics, reaffirming his dominance in the music industry.
The song is accompanied by a music video directed by UAX, further elevating its impact.
Burna Boy had earlier teased the single on Instagram after wiping his feed, a move signaling the arrival of his highly anticipated album.
No Sign of Weakness has already been preceded by two singles—Higher, which earned a nomination for Best African Song Performance at the 67th Grammys, and Bundle By Bundle, released in December 2024.
